Enni Kurikka: a versatile professional who has grown together with the company

When Enni Kurikka first stepped into Uusioaines for a traineeship in 2006, she had no idea that it would become a path lasting nearly two decades. “The summer job just kept going,” she laughs. Today, Enni is one of Foamit Group’s most versatile professionals, someone who understands both finance and sales and whose positive energy spreads to everyone around her.

A long career that emerged naturally

Enni’s career has developed step by step and always according to need. She began by entering weighing receipts, handling invoicing and ledgers, and soon became involved in developing systems and working as a key user. In 2022 she made a shift and moved into the sales team.

“Work has changed enormously from the days when I entered the first weighing receipts by hand. It feels like I am constantly learning something new,” she explains. What inspires her most in sales is meeting customers: “It is rewarding to understand what a customer needs, find the right solution for them and do it with a cheerful attitude.”

The growth of the foam glass business has also been meaningful for her. She has seen how this new line of business has developed from the beginning and has been part of its everyday work.

A workplace where you can be yourself

When asked what has kept Enni in the company for so long, the answer is clear: “We have a good vibe. People are relaxed and you can be yourself here.”

Everyday work is built on openness, laughter and the willingness to help. Enni describes the work community as warm and easygoing: “You can ask silly questions here, and if you need help, people often offer it even before you manage to ask.”

The company’s focus on wellbeing and clear operating practices is also reflected in her experience. She recalls the development leap that happened about five years ago: “The whole place was practically reorganised. That was when we made it clear that our processes must be in order.”

Safety and a wish for an even better workday

Safety shows up in Enni’s daily work especially through making and recording observations. “It is good that things are monitored continuously. It makes everyday work smoother and safer.”

And what would she wish for? Enni jokes at first: “Well, we could bring a massage chair into the break room and maybe a button that would give you a chocolate bar or a cup of tea.” After thinking for a moment she continues more seriously: “I would wish for more openness and appreciation from the top down. Small things like that often improve everyday work.”
