Kaltrina Selmani: a new team member learning fast

Kaltrina Selmani joined Glasopor only recently, but she has already absorbed a great amount of new knowledge. Working as an operator brings her close to the machines, the pace of production and the heart of continuous learning, which is exactly what she enjoys.

A new job that opened an unexpected world

Kaltrina says she had no previous knowledge of foam glass or its uses before joining Glasopor. “I had never heard of this type of product, but I wanted to learn. And I have learned a lot in a short time.”

One of her biggest new skills has been learning to operate a wheel loader: “I had never driven one before. Now it feels like it goes well.”

Teamwork and growth in a safe environment

Kaltrina speaks warmly about her colleagues: “I know I can always ask, and I am treated fairly.”

Teamwork motivates her, and she feels that working together is clearly reflected in the quality of production. Safety is part of every day: “I always try to work in a way where safety comes first.”

She has also been part of a significant change: the installation of two new electric furnaces in Glasopor. The investment supports Foamit Group’s shift towards lower‑emission production.

Kaltrina is motivated by the idea of seeing the product in use at customer sites. “It would be inspiring to see where the product we make actually ends up.
